Oats dosa is a healthy & tasty famous South Indian breakfast recipe
Oats dosa is also instant recipe
This recipe made by natural homemade ingredients like urad dal (white lentils), rolled Oats, Bengal gram, pigeon pea, green gram, ginger, green chillies ….
This Oats dosa is mainly served with coconut chutney
Ingredients: for Oats dosa
- ½ cup of urad dal (whit lentils)
- ½ cup of instant or rolled Oats
- ½ cup of chana dal (Bengal gram)
- ¼ cup of toor dal (pigeon pea)
- ¼ cup of Hari moong dal (green gram)
- Ginger 1 inch piece
- Green chillies 2 to 3
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Salt (as per your taste)
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- Oil
Instructions: step by step
- add ½ Cup of urad dal (White lentils) into a bowl
- 1/2 cup of instant or rolled Oats
- 1/4 cup of chana dal (Bengal gram)
- ¼ cup of toor dal ( pigeon pea)
- ¼ cup of Hari moong dal (green gram)
- Wash for 2 times
- soak for 6 hours or overnight , soaked well
- again wash for couple of times
- drain water and add this into mixie jar
- add 1 inch piece of ginger ,2 to 3 green chillies
- 1 tsp of cumin seeds
- 1 tsp of salt as per your taste
- ¼ tsp of cooking soda / baking soda
- blend into a fine paste by adding some water
- transfer this batter into a bowl
- add water as required
- mix it well
- You can see the batter consistency (as your requirement)
- now heat dosa pan /tawa
- spread dosa batter on pan
- drizzle 2 tsps of oil
- cook it well
- if you want crispy dosa cook for some more time
- healthy & tasty instant Oats dosa ready
- serve with coconut chutney
Coconut chutney recipe
Ingredients for coconut chutney
- ½ cup of fresh coconut
- Small piece of ginger
- Small piece of tamarind
- 3 green or dried red chillies
- ¼ cup phutana dal
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tsps oil
- ½ tsp of mustard seeds
- 1 tsps of urad dal
- 1 string of curry leaves
- 1 dried red chilli
Instructions: step by step for coconut chutney
- add ½ cup of fresh coconut pieces into blender , small piece of ginger
- small piece of tamarind
- 3 green or dried red chillies
- blend it well without adding water
- add ¼ cup of phutana dal
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- now add ½ cup to ¾ of water
- blend into fine paste
- transfer this into a bowl
- for tempering heat 2 tsps of oil
- add ½ tsp of mustard seeds ,1 tsp of urad dal,1 string of curry leaves ,1 dried red chilli
- fry until dal converts into golden colour
- add it on chutney
- mix it well
- Tasty Oats dosa and chutney is ready
