Turkey meatloaf

Meatloaf

Turkey meatloaf is a perfect dish for family dinner or festive table.

 

Ingredients:

• turkey thigh fillet – 2,4 lb /1,1 kg

• onion – 7 oz /220 g

• garlic – 3 cloves

• worcestershire sauce – 3 tbsp

• breadcrumbs – 2,5 oz /70 g

• chicken broth – 4 fl oz /125 ml

• 2 eggs

• ketchup – 4 fl oz /125 ml

• ground sweet paprika – 1 tsp

• salt – 2 tsp

• brown or white sugar – 1 tsp

• ground black pepper – 1 tsp

• sage – 1 tsp

• dried thyme – 1 tsp

• garlic powder – 1 tsp

• olive oil – 4 tbsp

You will need:

• oven

• baking sheet or baking dish of 1391,4 in /33,523,53,5 cm

• meat grinder

• carving board

• big bowl

• medium bowl

• food foil

 Preparation for turkey meatloaf recipe

1. Make a ground turkey with a meat grinder.

2. Heat a pan, add the olive oil, chopped-up onion, thyme, sage, ½ tsp of ground black pepper and fry stirring for 7-8 minutes over medium heat until readiness.

3. Add the minced garlic, worcestershire sauce and fry stirring for another minute over medium heat.

4. Take the pan off from the stove and cool.

5. In a deep bowl combine the breadcrumbs and chicken broth, leave for 5 minutes until breadcrumbs soak liquid.

6. Add the ground turkey, salt, ½ tsp of black pepper, raw eggs and fried onion with spices and combine well.

7. Line a baking dish with a food foil and lay out the prepared ground turkey in a form of loaf.

8. Combine the ketchup, sweet paprika, garlic powder and sugar, brush the meatloaf with the half of prepared sauce.

9. Put the meatloaf into the oven preheated to 350°F /180°C and roast for 40 minutes.

10. In 40 minutes take the baking dish out of the oven, brush the meatloaf with another half of the sauce, put back and roast for another 5 minutes at the same temperature.

11. Before serving cool the turkey meatloaf a bit.

1. It is recommended to take turkey thigh fillet for this recipe, then a meatloaf is juicy.
