Mutton Kheema puff
Mutton kheema puff is a popular Indian snack & Savory Indian pastry made with mined spiced mutton ,veg shortening, onion, spices,flaky puffy pastry
This mutton kheema puffs are so popular in india it mainly served & enjoyed with tea or as an appetizer it also available in bakerys shop in school canteens

Ingredients
- 250 grams of all purpose flour/Maida into a bowl
- 1tsp of salt
- 200 grams of veg shortening
- ice cold water
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- 2 medium chopped onions
- 1 chopped green chilli
- ½ tbsp of ginger garlic paste
- 250 grams of mutton kheema
- salt ( as per taste)
- 1 tsp of chilli powder
- ½ tbsp of coriander powder
- ½ tsp of cumin powder
- ¼ tsp of turmeric powder
Directions
- Add 250 grams of all purpose flour/Maida into a bowl
- 1tsp of salt
- Mix it
- Take 50 grams of veg shortening and add it
- Mix shortening with flour
- Gradually add ice cold water
- Knead into a smooth and tight dough
- Don’t add too much (water) at a time
- Cover and rest it for 15 to 20 minutes
- Add 2 tbsp of oil into a pan
- Add 2 medium chopped onions
- 1 chopped green chilli
- Saute until onion turns soft
- Add ½ tbsp of ginger garlic paste
- Saute until raw flavours disappears
- Add 250 grams of mutton kheema
- Add salt ( as per taste)
- Saute until water dries completely
- Now add 1 tsp of chilli powder
- ½ tbsp of coriander powder
- ½ tsp of cumin powder
- ¼ tsp of turmeric powder
- Saute for 3 to 4 minutes on medium heat
- Add 1 (250 ml) cup of water
- Give it a nice stir
- Cover and cook until water dries
- Add some chopped coriander leaves
- Saute until water dries
- Now & turn off the heat and let it cool completely
- Now knead the dough for few seconds
- Roll it into a rectangle shape
- Take 150 grams of veg shortening
- Place shortening on roll
- Spread it evenly
- Now fold the roll
- Step by step folds
- Sprinkle flour on top and surface while rolling
- Roll it again it nicely
- Now we will roll into a big sheet and cut into pieces
- First cut the sides
- Cut puff pastry sheets according to your choice ( this sheets makes 12 puffs)
- Place kheema mixture and fold it
- Place them in a lined baking tray
- Apply beaten egg on top
- Preheat oven at 180° degrees Celsius for 10 minutes
- Bake for 25 mins or until they turns into golden co
- lour at 200° degrees Celsius
